This website was created by Yebin Myung as an MYP Personal Project. The goal of this personal project was:

 

• to research about street art (history, meanings, and origin) to design my own website as well as creating my own video showcasing street art in Korea. The purpose of this would be to inform people about street art and show that street art is not just about looking trendy but that it has a history and origin

• to research about some famous street art artists to explore the artist’s perspective on street art

• to find out how this style of art relates me as a person and what it means to me

 

The big picture of this Personal Project is to show some of the possible ways personal and cultural expression can be showcased. Interviews with multiple street artists from around the world also opens up a new window to explore street art on a global scale.

 

*Please note that the title "Urban Art-ionary" refers to art in urban areas not only legalized art in the streets.
